Let’s find an option that feels right for you
Everyone is different. Pick what matters most, then explore one clear pathway at a time—privately and at your own pace.
Small health wins can support better erections
Better sexual health often starts with better overall health. Realistic changes can build confidence now and support long-term wellbeing.
Everyday wins that count
- Regular aerobic activity and weight management
- Stopping smoking and limiting excess alcohol
- Managing diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol
- Reviewing all medications with your clinician
Heart health and erection health are closely connected. Improving an underlying health issue may support both.
Could a prescribed ED tablet fit your plan?
A good experience starts with safety. Then details such as timing, food, stimulation, dose, side effects, and repeated attempts can make a real difference.
Help it work as intended
- Correct timing and adequate stimulation
- The prescribed dose and repeated attempts
- Food effects, depending on the medication
- Your health conditions and other medicines
Nitroglycerin or isosorbide combined with ED tablets can cause a dangerous fall in blood pressure.
Notice how you feel. Possible effects include headache, flushing, congestion, indigestion, dizziness, visual changes, or back discomfort.
A medication-free pathway—ready when you are
A vacuum device uses suction to draw blood into the penis. A constriction ring can then help maintain the erection, giving you an option you can prepare and use when needed.
What to expect
- Works independently of many medication restrictions
- Requires preparation and correct sizing
- Coolness, bruising, numbness, or discomfort can occur
- Ejaculation may feel different or be difficult
Remove the constriction ring within 30 minutes. Ask first if you take blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder.
A more targeted route
When tablets are not safe, suitable, or giving the desired response, medication delivered locally may open another path forward.
Make the plan more personal
Can help with performance anxiety, stress, relationship strain, communication, and expectations—even when a physical cause is present.
Considered only when symptoms and properly obtained blood tests support deficiency. It requires monitoring and can reduce sperm production.
May modestly help selected men with mild blood-flow-related ED. Results, protocols, durability, availability, and regulatory status vary.
Evidence is limited. Regenerative treatments should be regarded as investigational unless offered within an appropriately approved clinical trial.
More predictable control for the long term
An inflatable or malleable device is surgically placed inside the penis when other treatments are unsuitable, unsuccessful, or when a patient prefers a definitive option after counselling.
What it can offer
- Reliable erections under the patient’s control
- A device concealed entirely within the body
- No usual change to desire, skin sensation, or orgasm
It does not restore natural erections. Risks include infection, mechanical failure, erosion, pain, and possible revision surgery.
- 4+ hours: an erection lasting 4 hours or longer
- Chest symptoms: chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or fainting
- Sudden injury: major swelling, bruising, or painful penile injury
If chest pain occurs after an ED medication, seek emergency care and tell the team which medication you took and when. Do not take nitroglycerin unless emergency clinicians who know about the ED medication direct you to do so.
